Course maintenance never stops. This week the greens staff have been hard at work trimming the trees to the right of the 16th tee box and to the right of the 17th green.. To help with light and also playability of the holes.
The trees to the right of the 3rd tee have also been trimmed. I couldn't believe how many of Brian Sinnamon's balls were found in the tree, maybe now he and others can make it towards the green?

The gross went to Glenn Managh with a 72 and the Anno Domini was picked up by Ivan Vallelly with 37 points. A special mention must go out to division three winner Colin Petrie with 38 points wonders will never cease haha... The twos club paid out a bumper £20.80 and all monies have been added to your pro shop accounts.
Upcoming Events
Last Wednesday we had our last Hat of the year. The ever popular Woolly Hat will start on Wednesday, 7 Oct and will be a 14 hole competition running over holes 1-13 and the 16th. It will run every Wednesday over the winter and is open to men, ladies and juniors.
This Friday and Saturday will be a stableford pro sweep over 18 holes and will also be a handicap qualifying competition. After another great week's weather the greens continue to improve after the winter maintenance and judging from last week's scores the course is still very playable.
Ladies Competition Results
The ladies section had the last handicap qualifying competition of the year on Tuesday with Rosanne Fulton cleaning up with 41 points. In second with 39 points was Alison Campbell and Heather Ward pipped Jane Gibson to third place with 37 points on the better back nine. Sharon Crozier and Susan Craig had the only twos each paying out £22 per two all monies have been added to the pro shop accounts congratulations to all of the winners. On a lighter note I personally would like to point out the fact that Heather Ward's handicap is now 17.6 compared to Mr Ward's 18.2 and I will leave it at that...
