August Monthly Tankard

Last weekend we had the August Monthly Tankard, an 18 holes strokeplay tournament. I'm pleased to announce Sam Swaffield was the winner with a nett 66. Only a few weeks ago Sam was fitted for a whole bag of new clubs. We did a full Titleist fit from my cart bag so I am delighted to see the results coming already, congratulations! The best gross went to James Rodgers with a fine 68, glad to see all of his hard work is starting to pay off. The twos club payed out £9.75 which has been added to everyone's pro shop accounts.

Open Mixed Greensomes

The club hosted an Open Mixed Greensomes on Sunday with Knock players finishing both first and second. Albert and Sharon Crozier won with 39 points to pip Trevor and Heather Ward by two points. Congratulations to both and I hear that Heather's back is getting better from carrying Trevor the whole way round! The twos club paid £29 and has been added to your pro shop accounts.

Mullingar Scratch Cup

Another great week from our Irish international Colin Fairweather who finished runner up in the prestigious Mullingar Scratch Cup. He finished two shots behind Alan Lowry (Shane's brother). Colin shot rounds of 71, 68, 74 and 75.

Peter Sinclair Belfast Junior Open

On Monday we hosted the Peter Sinclair Belfast Junior Open, which was all in all was a very successful tournament with approximately 80 juniors taking part. A big thank you goes out to our main sponsors Ulster Bank, One Stop Mortgage Shop and Wineflair.



Elvis Tribute Night

On Saturday, 29 August we have our Elvis tribute night here at the club featuring the singer Jim Brown. The event will start at 8pm and tickets will cost £20 per person. This should be a great night as we all know how good this guy is! St Andrews Tour Bag Ballot

George Baxter was the delighted winner of the Callaway St Andrews limited edition tour bag. As you can see from the picture George was very happy with his prize.

2016 Collections

I have been starting to process my brand selections for 2016 this week and in the process went to see the new FootJoy collection and the new 2016 Nike apparel collection. I also got a sneak preview at what Rory will be wearing at next year's Masters! The ranges look fantastic and both will start to filter in store from February onwards.
