We hope you're well. There are some important questions we're asking of you in this week's email - but don't worry, it's nothing too taxing! We also have a fantastic Video of the Week from the European Tour where a golfer attempts to break a Guinness World Record! This one's definitely worth a watch. |
As always, if there's anything that you see in this week's email that you'd like to give a try or get your hands on, get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
Check out the hail stones on Wednesday afternoon, when will the temperatures improve! |

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. |
Challenge Cup Qualifying (Fri 30th April & Sat 1st May)
Some nett 74s qualified for the matchplay stages.... the draw is now up on the main noticeboard. It is up to both players to arrange the matches before the deadline date. |
Practicing on the golf course
Can I remind members that it is against the rules of golf to practice on the course before they enter a competition that day. This includes chipping around the 9th or 11th greens. |
Visitors return
Can I remind members that visitors are now welcome again. You can book them online or just give me a buzz at Pro shop and we can add their names to the time sheet (we need to record this for track and trace purposes). If any members are involved in organising a society, work golf events or a charity day etc... give me a buzz and we can arrange the best deals possible. |
The BBQ will be back this weekend
It was great to smell the wonderful BBQ last weekend. Colin Barnes the owner and BBQ chef of Barnes BBQ was on site and will be for the next few weeks to serve his amazing BBQ food.
The burgers cooked over applewood and his Beef brisket was exceptional. Colin is the BBQ chef and trainer for Hillmount Nurseries and also has his own outside catering business .... why not try one of his handmade burgers etc next week. |

Hovland set for Ryder Cup debut Sam Burns took the fight to Florida’s famous Copperhead course, staying in the 60s all week to win the Valspar Championship with a -17 total. Finding the water on the par-3 13th cost Keegan Bradley his shot at the title, while Victor Hovland continued a fantastic season with a T3 finish; now sitting third in the FedEx Cup rankings. He’s a special talent and looks likely to be part of Europe's Ryder Cup team come September. It also takes something special to beat a Major champion, and Hyo Joo Kim has that in abundance. The young South Korean soared past five different Major winners, including Inbee Park and her seven titles, to claim the LPGA Tour’s HSBC Women’s World Championship in stunning style at the weekend. If your golf still isn't up to scratch then maybe it's time to book in for a check-over? We have a wide range of lesson options available, from packages to one-off coaching. |
