What a shoot-out! The Zurich Classic – a unique tournament that flip-flops between fourball & foursomes formats – served up one of the most enthralling shoot-outs of the year on Sunday evening as Australia and South Africa added another classic sporting rivalry to the list. The team from Down Under, Cameron Smith & Mark Leishman, traded birdies and bogeys in frantic fashion with South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel. After Smith found the water on the 17th, Leishman chipped-in to save the day. A rash drive into the drink from Oosthuizen in the playoff proved far more costly; failing to recover and handing the Aussies a hard-fought, thrilling victory in New Orleans. Scrambling proved the decisive factor here. We all make mistakes, but how we deal with them is what matters most.
