Jack has arrived!
It's been a crazy week for the Whitford Family as we welcomed baby ‘Jack’ into the world. My new son is doing really well as is Mum. I would like to thank all the members for their generous gifts and well wishes, Rachel and myself are blown away by your generosity and thoughtfulness.
Because Rachel was rushed in for an emergency C section it means I have to spend a bit more time at home helping out. I would like to apologise to those members who I have had to re-arrange lessons and fittings. I have been about a bit this week and I'm trying to squeeze everyone in, so thanks for your patience and understanding. |

If anyone needs help to be made up for a game give me a shout at the pro shop. |
Saturday tee times
With reduced day light and Covid protocols increasing the gaps between tee times the time sheet on Saturdays have more demand than we can supply.
Can I ask anyone not intending on playing on any given Saturday to remove their name(s) from the BRS sheets or give us or the office a call to remove them preferably NO LATER THAN A DAYS NOTICE!
I understand the frustration of members, but we in the pro shop will do all we can to make times available. The Captain has sent me a list of four balls looking for a tee time. |
The Golf Studio can still be hired
A reminder that Covid guidance for our indoor golf studio states that indoor coaching and fitting can still take place on a strictly one-on-one basis.
Members can still hire the facility for practice, gapping sessions or just to play a world famous golf course, but they must be on their own unless members are from the same house.
It was nice to welcome Walker Cup hopeful Tom McKibben to the studio... he was checking his numbers with the use of the GCQuad the launch monitor of choice for 16 of the top 20 players in the world. |

Latest update
I hope you're all excited for the 2020 Masters this week. My picks have been useless in previous weeks however, I’m going to pick Xander Schauffele to win 14/1 and Matthew Fitzpatrick each way at 66/1.
This week starts my junior coaching at Blackwood. I will be coaching over 20 juniors from 5:00pm-9:00pm every Tuesday evening for the next three weeks and the first three Tuesdays in January. These juniors all have handicaps and will hopefully be representing Knock next season at junior level.
The girls coaching will take place on Saturday mornings, however I'm still in talks with Blackwood and Bradshaw’s Brea to work out which suits best availability wise.
With Ricky busy at home with the new born baby... Jack please don’t hesitate to ask me to help you. I am in regular daily contact with Ricky and we can get you anything you need as quickly as possible... even this week Ricky has been out and about getting goods for members!
