Knock Golf Club's 125th year

A huge congratulations and a massive thanks goes to our Vice Captain Brian McCluskey who invested most of his time during lockdown going through the minutes of council meetings and making numerous phone calls to gather as much information as he possibly could to put together a fantastic 125 year display history of Knock.

During this week pop into the dining area to see the stunning exhibition. It is a superb visual display of our history with in depth content that has taken a lot of time and effort!

A big good luck to Katie Poots who is competing at West Lancs Golf Club. The one handicapper is taking a step up to the Biggest Amateur tournament for ladies in the world!

Popov and DJ in leagues of their own

There are sporting shocks, and then there’s the World No. 304 winning a Major! Germany’s Sophia Popov finished on -7 at Royal Troon to claim victory at the AIG Women’s Open. Despite having never won on the LPGA or Ladies European Tour before, the 27-year-old fought off challenges from stars like World No. 8 Minjee Lee and seven-time Major Champion Inbee Park.

Meanwhile, on the PGA Tour, Dustin Johnson won The Northern Trust, the first FedEx Cup playoff event, by shooting a staggering -30. That ended up being an 11-stroke victory, which raises the age-old question of what’s more entertaining:
