Message from the Captain
I would like to take this opportunity to thank every single member of Knock Golf club for the fabulous turn out for my charity event over the weekend of the 7th and 8th August.
Over Thursday, Friday and Saturday we had Ladies and gents of all ages lending me their support, playing in every weather condition from monsoon rain to tropical sunshine. I received messages of support from so many people and even donations from members who could not play, on either day!! Absolutely amazing support.
My thanks also go to every Knock member who stood with me and talked about how cancer has touched so many families and how devastating this illness can be, not just on the individual, but also on the family circle. This certainly reinforced my decision to organise a charity event such as this, to raise funds and awareness of a very deserving charity namely Friends of the cancer Centre.
I am delighted to announce that the total funds raised was £3273.76! A fantastic effort that makes me immensely proud of Knock Golf Club.
