Following the Prime Minister's speech on Monday, we have closed the pro shop for the foreseeable and will await further instruction from the government before re-opening.

We appreciate golf isn't people's first priority at a time like this, but we'll be coming up with some fun ideas for you to try at home (just in case you're stuck for things to do) so keep an eye out for future emails.

Access to locker rooms on Friday 12-2pm!

Do you want your clubs from the locker room? Do you want to grab your putter and wedges for some back garden practice? Or do you just want to give your clubs a spring clean?

I will be at the Club on Friday 27th from 12.00 midday to 2pm to assist members with getting their clubs from the locker room in a safe manner.

On Friday and Saturday, we played a Club Sweep over 16 holes (14&15th closed) it was great to see so many out in the course.

Sunday sweep

On Sunday we got a full 18 holes open it was a fine Spring day. Derek Quinn took first prize on the countback from runner up Stephen Hughes with both men shooting 34pts. Lee Miller snatched 3rd place on the countback with 33pts.

The twos paid out £8.66 each.

Congrats to all the winners and thanks for participating in the events, little did we know it was to be the last golf for a while!

Course news

The greenstaff are still working away

We will have skeleton staff operating over this period of uncertainty keeping the course well maintained. Pictured below is Stephen doing maintenance work on Tuesday morning.

The guys are staying positive and want to keep the course in great shape especially as the growing season starts.

Members will be pleased to hear we at Knock GC are giving free and full access of our car park to all NHS doctors and Nurses during this period. It’s not much but every little helps, it’s a great initiative.
