The green staff have worked wonders in this weather to returf and shape the area between the 15th & 17th greens. Check out the photos below:

Congrats to Ray Browne who has been elected captain of La Manga Club for 2020.

Ray was captain at Knock in 2013 and will shine in his new role in Sunny La Manga. We hope you have a brilliant year in Spain.

Bonus ball

Have you entered the bonus ball? This is a new competition. To enter call into the pro shop, pick a number that you think will be the bonus ball on Saturday nights Lotto Draw. If you pick the correct number you will be credited all the money onto your pro shop Account.

It is £2 per bonus ball selected with a maximum of 3 different numbers that can be selected each week. If you want to keep the same number you can pay for as many weeks as you like.

Coaching news

Girls golf rocks

This weekend Saturday at 10.30am-12noon kicks off the Girls Golf Rocks. Any junior girls under the age of 18 can take part.

This will be 5 weeks of fun, games and learning about the game of golf. All aspects of the game will be worked on in a fun atmosphere with only girls.

There are a couple of spaces still available, so if you know any girls looking to take part or would be interested please contact the pro shop to register.

The Hoofer stand bag is better than ever and will have you bounding around the course with all your clubs and belongings safely stored away.

The Traverse bag has been newly designed with a large 14-way divider organiser to ensure the bag stays in shape and has 2 large wells to accommodate oversize putter grips.

Dry-Series

Super-lightweight with waterproof protection, the Dry-Series is ideal for all-year-round golf with seven spacious pockets providing plenty of storage.

The art of putting

‘Drive for show, putt for dough’. No doubt you have heard this one a few times before but considering putting equates to between 30 to 50% of our shots on the course, it also has a large element of truth in it.

Odyssey Stroke Lab Triple Track putters

There's some clever technology out there to help you putt better. For example, Odyssey has taken the Triple Track Alignment from the ERC Soft golf ball and combined it with their Stroke Lab shaft to create this stunning range of putters.

The whole puzzle

If you're considering buying new irons this year, have a think about how they are going to blend into the rest of your set. The idea is to have equal yardage gaps between each club in your bag so, if you are going to treat yourself, it might be worth replacing a long iron with a hybrid that is easier to hit.

Take danger out of play

The illustration here is a good example of where a hybrid comes in handy. When our driver brings danger into play and a long-iron leaves us too far to the green, a hybrid is the perfect option.
