Competition news

Weekend Sweep (14 Hole Stableford)

John Sykes won this week’s competition with a superb 34 points over the 14 holes, Andy Jones took runner up spot with 32 points. Raymond Caskey snatched third prize on countback with 31 points from fourth placed Richard Lucas (also 31 points). Mark Graham took fifth place with 30 points.

Best Gross with 51 (-3) went to Michael Sinclair and the twos club paid out £14.25 each. All monies have been transferred to your Pro Shop accounts.

Ladies 12 Hole Winter Stableford

Rosemary Greene took top spot this week 25 points with Vivien Allen taking runner up spot on countback from Ethel Ruddock third both recording 24 points.

The twos club paid out £16.00 each and all monies have been added to your Pro Shop accounts.

Winter League

The Winter League finishes on Thursday, 20 February. I will have the final placings for next week’s newsletter, although the official results will be posted on the noticeboard this weekend.

Weekend competitions

On Friday and Saturday, we will be running a Club Sweep for the next few weeks over the 14 holes that we have been playing Winter League over so the same timesheet will be in place.

Belfast & District Veterans League

Matches(fourball/betterball) are played between 13 teams in a home and away basis throughout the summer. We need a large pool of players to cover all matches because of holidays etc.This is open to players over the age of 60. Please put your name and telephone numbers on the list on the noticeboard.

Studio news

John's huge improvements

Pictured below is John Mawhinney, we worked on John’s posture and spine angle to shallow his swingplane to enable him to deliver the driver with a better angle of attack (AOA). During the lesson we improved his AOA from 3.8 degrees down to a very impressive 3 degrees up. All info supplied by the GCQuad.

The results won’t happen overnight but with clear direction and understanding I would be very confident John will hit more fairways this season. If you would like to visit the studio to see what we have to offer get in touch.

Get a grip. Literally...
