Welcome to another exciting edition to Knock Golf Club's weekly newsletter. We hope that you're having a good week on and off the golf course. Enjoy the read. |
Supporting a great cause
Pictured below is Lady Captain giving two HUGE cheques to her charities for the year. Rachel my wife and baby Ella were present to hand over the cheque to Tiny Life, a charity used by ourselves since Ella was born. £2156.30 was given to each charity, the other being Mitre. Thank you to the Lady Captain for her brilliant work throughout the year and all the other ladies that helped to raise this fantastic amount. |
Are you feeling festive?

The putter went cold
I travelled to a windy Castlerock on Tuesday to compete in the latest leg of the PGA Alliance outings. Pictured below is my team of Knock members Gary Patterson, Harry McKee and Simon Swail, who all had a fun day but the back nine got very windy and cold. I had a frustrating day with the putter to record 16 pars and two bogeys to finish in the top 10, more practice is needed for events in the new year. Thanks for the game boys it was good banter as always. |

Ronan clinches the title
Congrats to Ronan Henry pictured below on winning the Ulster Press Golf Society Order of Merit which came to a climax at Dunmurry Golf Club last week.
Well done to Ronan on a successfully consistent season of outings, your very welcome to have one at Knock next year. |

We all want to enjoy playing golf, and a big part of this is lowering our handicap. Yes, there will be times when your game isn't up to scratch and you go up .1 a few times in a row, but there'll also be times when all of the puzzle pieces fit and your handicap tumbles. |
What does your graph look like? As the year comes to an end, it's important to take stock and examine where you can improve your game going into the new year. There might be several areas that you want/need to work on, or maybe just two or three finer details that will take your game to the next level. |
Whatever those areas are, we're here to help. We can identify the key reasons you're not shooting the scores you want, as well as devise a personalised winter coaching plan to help iron out those faults and get you paying your best golf. So, if you want to see your handicap tumble in 2019, come down to the shop for a chat - you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. |
