On the Course... The horrific weather curtailed any play last week in both the Winter League and Weekend Sweep although we did get a few 'nutters' who braved the elements last Wednesday in the Woolly Hat. Ironically the biggest nutter of them all Mr Brian McCullough won the event. Congratulations and I'm sure the men in white coats have you nicely settled by now. |
Winter League The last playing week of the Winter League will be on Friday, 9 March - Thursday, 15 March, weather permitting, and as I write this we now have 16 holes open so fingers crossed for no more white stuff. A reminder that the Weekend Sweep runs from Friday - Sunday and is open to all membership to compete.

Mother's Day Menu Bob our caterer has released his Mother's Day menu for Sunday, 11 March. Have a look here at the choices on offer. What great value for money. Why not book a table and enjoy a relaxing meal at your club? |
Summer tee times on a Saturday Any member wishing to play on a Saturday, please enter their names on the noticeboard. Draws for times will take place on Sunday, 18 March at 5:00pm. Social Events at Knock At last, the weather is improving, spring is here and there are several club events planned for the coming weeks: - Sunday, 11 March is Mother's Day - Bob is presenting a delicious lunch for that special mum. There are still some tables for bookings after 3:00pm.
- Saturday, 17 March brings a first class dinner and entertainment from the very versatile cover up. A really good band playing a cross section of music for all tastes. Come along for a bit of St Patrick's Night craic and all for £20 per person.
- Sunday, 25 March is the final Jazz Carvery of the season. We feature keyboards maestro John McCullough with Ronnie Greer on guitar and guest vocalist David Hamilton. Great food, easy listening, background music and a lovely atmosphere.
- Saturday, 28 April is the much awaited return of the PM Big Band. This is our spring special and we are holding the price for supper and entertainment at £20 per person. A rare chance to hear a full scale swing band in club surroundings. Don't miss this one!
Booking for all events - 90480915. Please come along and support your club.

Listen to what he has to say |
We’ve been hammering home the importance of getting your clubs regripped for the past few weeks now, so we thought we’d take a closer look at one particular grip that we’re currently offering to put on your 7-iron for FREE… |
| Interview with David Leadbetter | Golf Instructor |

Why try the Golf Pride Align grip? You might think launching a new golf grip is like reinventing the wheel, but this Golf Pride Align grip really has broken the mould. Its key feature is the raised ridge on the back of the grip. By feeling this ridge each time you hold a club, you’ll have a physical aid to your grip position. This will help you achieve more consistent hand placements, which should only lead to more consistent results. |
