Valentine's Day

Celebrate in style at Knock

Click here and have a look at how our clubhouse dressed up for an engagement party on Saturday night. It looked amazing. If any member would like to enquire about holding a function at the club give the office a call. We work with an Events Planner to cater for your individual needs.

Logs for sale...

The one good thing about the trees coming down is that the club are now selling quality logs to members for only £3 per bag or four bags for only £10. This is approximately 25% cheaper than anywhere else so why not grab a bargain? The bags can be found at the front entrance and you can buy them from the office, pro shop or the bar.

Competition news

Junior Competition Results (13 holes)

First place - Katie Poots (28 points).

A reminder to all juniors that we have a 16 hole (when open) Stableford competition every Sunday. Let's get out and play as the season is just around the corner.


Weekend Sweep

We had no Winter League this week due to only having 13 holes open. The Weekend Sweep Results are as follows:

First place - George Magill (34 points), second place - Stephen Hughes (30 points, BB9), third place - Andy Jones (30 points) and in fourth place - Ian McClure (29 points, BB9).

The best gross went to Philip Davidson with 50 (-1) and the twos club paid out £13 each. Congratulations to all the winners and all monies have been transferred to your pro shop accounts.


Ladies Stableford

The ladies played a 13 Hole Stableford competition on Tuesday with Ann Morrison taking the spoils with 25 points, second place went to Alison Sinnamon with 23 points and Pamela Brockerton snatched third place with 22 points. Nobody recorded a two so a draw took place with four players getting £9.25 each. Congratulations to all the winners and all monies have been transferred to your pro shop accounts.

It's a game of fine margins

A yard further and your ball’s resting on the green rather than in the greenside bunker. Five millimetres closer to the centre of the face and it might fly the water rather than make a splash landing. A little less pace on your putt and the ball takes the break and falls into the centre of the cup.

Fine margins in golf

Golf is a game of fine margins, which means every decision you make is an important one. You wouldn’t go from one round to the next playing with different clubs - sometimes new, sometimes old, sometimes slightly damaged – so why do that with your golf ball? Considering it’s the only constant you have on every shot, it can really pay off to use the same model if you want to improve your consistency.
