Summerfield Cup

A Reminder that the Summerfield Cup Pairs Knockout Trophy entries are now open and so is the Club Mixed Knockout event. Pop into the pro shop and enter both tournaments at a cost of £8 per pair.

Junior Competition Result

First place - Ronan Geoghegan (45 points) and in second place - Thomas Kane (39 points).

Sunday Sweep Results (18 Hole Stableford)

First place - Mark Kelly (41 points), second place - Chris Crawford (40 points) and in third place - John Poots (40 points).

The twos club paid out £7 each and all twos have been transferred to your pro shop accounts.

Overall Winner - Richard Hodgett (43 points). Best Gross - Colin Fairweather - 63 (-7). Anno Domini - Berkeley McMonagle (39 points).

Category One - First place - Chris Brannigan (40 points) and in second place - Simon Miskelly (40 points).
Category Two - First place - Lee Mitchell (41 points) and in second place - Chris Cairns (40 points).
Category Three - First place - John Robinson (42 points) and in second place - Brian Long (37 points).
Category Four - First place - Wilson Hamilton (40 points) and in second place - Bill McNaughten (39 points).

The twos paid out £11.70 and all monies have been added to your pro shop accounts. The scoring was exceptional which is also a testament to how good the course is playing for this time of the year. This weekend coming we will be back on the summer tees which everybody will enjoy. Can I remind everyone to replace divots and fix pitchmarks or even two on each green. 

Ladies Competition

First place - Jill Brown (36 points), second place - Elaine Morrow (35 points) and in third place - Lynne Anderson (33 points).

The twos paid out £14.30 each and all monies have been added to your pro shop accounts.

Wednesday Hat Competition

The Wednesday Hat Competition will start next Wednesday, 5 April. It's a great way to break the week up with some great prizes on offer. This year, like last, if you record a two you do not have to be present to collect your golf balls, but prize winners MUST be present to get their prize on the night. The Hat is a great way to meet new members and have a game. If any player wants to be allocated a group, give me a buzz and I will arrange this for you.

 

Get Ladies Into Golf 

Here at Knock we are running a Ladies Get into Golf initiative. Any members who have friends and or family who would like to try the sport, please get in touch. Helen Anderson has been the heartbeat of this initiative with the end goal of growing the ladies section membership. There will be a fun informal initial information meeting followed by four weeks of coaching sessions in small friendly groups lead by myself. After the four weeks a 'buddy system' will operate where a lady member will take out a few of the ladies involved and get on the course for a few holes and to learn the rules and etiquette etc. If you know anyone who may be interested in signing up to this course feel free to give Helen a call on 07879 491527

Fitting Days

A reminder that we have Titleist (Wednesday, 5 April) and TaylorMade (Tuesday, 11 April) coming to Knock next month. For anyone thinking of changing clubs to the new Titleist 917 woods, the 716 irons and/or the new Scotty Cameron range of putters or Vokey wedges. We will have them all on show for you to try with the latest launch monitors. As for the TaylorMade Day they will have all the latest M1 and M2 products and the new wedges.
