Restaurant Update

Myself and Mrs Whitford had a great meal at the club on Saturday night. It was great to see a busy dining area with lots of members and visitors enjoying Bob's fantastic menu. I would urge all members to come up and support YOUR club the food and service really is excellent. He is now doing an early bird menu which is great value for money. 

 

What's On At Knock?

Now with the season just around the corner, team captains have been asking me about NEW members and handicaps. If any team captains are arranging a practice or indeed a match, e mail me so I can publish it in the newsletter. Home support can make a huge difference and it's a good way of spending a few hours. Likewise any member new or old wanting to enquire about playing on teams and being eligible just give me a call. At Knock we enter every GUI team event to cater for all handicap ranges, so get your competitive juices flowing and sign up on the notice board for a team(s) practice. 

Junior Competition Results

First place - Katie Poots (25 points) and in second place - Jared Magee (25 points).

Sunday Sweep Results

Simon Swail ripped it out this week with his newly 'fitted' driver taking the spoils with 42 points. Second place went to Stephen Finlay 40 points and Jarrid Hamilton snatched third place with 39 points. The twos club paid out £8 each and all monies have been added to your pro shop accounts. Simon spent an hour in the Swing Studio last week having a driver fitting. We selected a heavy shaft to help keep his spin rate down and experimented with lofts.... instant success. Congratulations.

The Weekend Winter Sweep Results

Overall Winner - Neil Warburton (37 points). Best Gross - Colin Fairweather 59 (-3). Anno Domini - Richard Hodgett (36 points).

Division One - First place - Ben Graham (36) points and in second place - David McCluskey (34 points, BB9).

Division Two - First place - Scott Collins (37 points) and in second place - Lee Mitchell (36 points, BB9).

Division Three - First place - Wilson Hamilton (35 points, BB9) and in second place - Michael Browne (35 points).

The twos club paid out £10.67 each and all monies have been added to your pro shop accounts.

 

Australian Spoons

The ladies official competition fixtures started this week, with the Australian Spoons a greensomes event. The winning team was Heather Kane and Hilary Graham. Second place went to Ann Mc Ivor and Rosanne Fulton. The two's club paid out £22 per pair. Congratulations to all the winners and all winnings have been added to your pro shop account.
