A tournament to remember!
On Tuesday I travelled to Royal Belfast to compete in the last PGA outing of 2016. After one shot I was travelling to the A&E unit of the Ulster Hospital helping next year's incoming Vice Captain Gary Patterson who hurt himself after hitting his first tee shot. X rays showed nothing was broken, but some ligament damage was causing him serious pain and discomfort. Get well soon Gary.

Coaching Packages at Knock GC...
Many of you will be thinking about Christmas presents, but if a family member is struggling with what to get you this year, give them my details and let them know which option below best suits you. I have come up with a few different ideas for coaching vouchers that will be available from the pro shop this Christmas. Options are as follows:
- Option One - Standard lesson - £25.
- Option Two - On-course lesson - £40 (Usually five - six holes incorporating strategy, uneven lies, short game and 'rescue shots out of trouble').
- Option Three - Five lesson package - £100.
- Option Four - Game improvement package - £100 (on-course lesson to evaluate strengths and weaknesses allowing the player to ask questions about certain scenarios. Static lesson to work and improve on findings and then another on-course session to put your practice into play and see what improvements have been made and what still needs to be addressed).
- Option Five - Short game lessons for two - £30 (if you fancy learning some short game skills together grab a partner and learn off each other).
I have bespoke shop vouchers available to purchase (pictured). Junior lessons are also available at the reduced rate of £20 per lesson. Vouchers can be used at your leisure with no expiry date. If you need any more information please get in touch here.
Golf Studio Update
The simulator and GC2 is now installed and working. I did my first club fitting and gapping session this week and the information and fun element is staggering. I have some flooring to put down and some security to install and that will finish the room. Titleist are coming to use their graphics shortly and I will have a full list of what we can offer with the new facility to include opening times and prices. If you have any questions or would like a sneak preview give me a call.
For the golfer who has almost everything?
An ideal Christmas present this year could be the latest GPS devices from GolfBuddy. I have all units in stock from the top of the range PT4 with an enlarged four inch high resolution LCD screen to the new WT5 watches. All GolfBuddy watches show measurement from front, middle and to the back of each green, BUT, they also show all hazards including rivers, bunkers and trees. A new addition to the range this year is the 'Ladies LD2' watch, a more stylish lightweight watch with Swarovski crystals. GolfBuddy are also giving away a FREE Swarovski crystal ball marker over Christmas when you purchase an LD2 GPS watch.
Pop in store to find out more about the best GPS units on the market. Remember over 48,000 courses worldwide is mapped and there are no extra fees. The only thing you need to do is update the units a few times each year to keep up-to-date with course renovations etc.
