Winter League
Week five Winter League results were as follows:
Low Section - First place - Brian Best (38 points), second place - Derek Quinn (38 points), third place - Richard Hodgett (36 points) and in fourth place - Gary Kennedy (36 points).
Mid Section - First place - Mark Harrison (36 points), second place - Lionel Walsh (36 points), third place - Stephen Hughes (36 points) and in fourth place - David White (35 points).
High Section - First place - Stephen Rogan (36 points), second place - Ken Brady (36 points), third place - Barry Todd (36 points) and in fourth place - Sam McLaughlin (35 points).
The twos club paid out £10.90 per two and all monies have been transferred to your pro shop accounts. Congratulations to all the winners, great scoring again this week. As I write this newsletter we are mid-way through week six of the Winter League, just think last year the course was under water and the Winter League had barely got off the ground. The cold but dry weather has been fantastic for the golf course and for all the members to enjoy their golf. The vast majority of the dreaded leaves have fallen and the green staff haven't stopped collecting them for over a month. It's always nice to see the back of the leaves!
Weekend Sweep
The Weekend Sweep was played in cold and frosty conditions. The big winner this week was Sam Gilmour with 37 points, John Mercer took second place with 36 points on the better back nine holes from third placed Geoff Brown (also 36 points). The ever consistent Ian Killen took fourth prize with 35 points and Michael Sinclair won the best gross with a fine 59 (-3). The twos paid out £10 each and all winnings have been transferred to your pro shop accounts. Congratulations to Sam Gilmour the lessons are clearly paying off. I would like to thank all the competitors who support the Weekend Sweep, there is a great buzz around the club on the weekend mornings over the winter.
Ladies Woolly Hat
The Ladies Woolly Hat continues to be ever popular and is growing in participants every week. Ladies can enter it any day from Friday to Thursday and as many times as they like. Week four results are as follows:
First place - Aileen Wilson (25 points) and in second place - Joan Sinclair (22 points).
Congratulations to prize winners and all monies have been added to your pro shop accounts.
Ladies 12 Hole Stableford
The ladies 12 hole Stableford was played on Tuesday. The winner was Valerie Junkin with 25 points, second place went to Christine Owens (24 points) and Joan Sinclair picked up third prize with 23 points. No twos recorded with five players being drawn for a two: Joan Bell, Alison Sinnamon, Maureen McWhinney, Eve McCracken and Rosemary Greene each paying out £10. It's always worth entering the twos club eh!
Junior Competition
Last weekend's Junior Competition played over 12 holes was won by Thomas Kane with 28 points. Great scoring Thomas.

Black Friday
This Friday is 'Black Friday' and I'm pleased to announce that we will be having a Weekend Black Friday sale. Starting this Friday, 25 November and running to Sunday, 27 November many items will be greatly reduced. Pop in store to see the Black Friday deals.
In the run up to Christmas why not tell loved ones what you would like and remember, if I don't have what your looking for I can get it within two to three working days OR you can use my Click and Collect service.

Click and Collect is a website where you can buy golf equipment and helps us to expand our product range that we are able to offer you.
If we don't stock it here in our shop and it's available on the Click and Collect website, then you can pay for the product and have it delivered to our shop FREE of charge (usually within two - three working days). If there are any problems with the item purchased you can also return it to me and we can send it back, again without charge.
Get a grip at Knock...
Pictured is the highly sought after Titleist Scotty Cameron Matador putting grips. These rare limited edition grips usually only come with a purchase of a Scotty putter. However, I have managed to get my hands on half a dozen mid-size type grips with three of them in the very rare white colour... If you would like to try one out or come and see them feel free to pop in to the pro shop... hens teeth spring to my mind!
