Christmas Jazz Sunday
On Sunday, 20 December we have our Christmas Jazz Sunday featuring the legendary Ronnie Greer on guitar. Ronnie's trio will include John McCullough on keyboards. What better way to relax before the festive rush than with Stephen's excellent Carvery and superb background music.

PGA Ulster Alliance
On Monday I played at my old club Kirkistown Castle in the PGA Ulster Alliance. The weather was brutal with gusts up to over 40mph and if anything the wind got stronger as the day went on. I shot 74 which was good enough for fifth position. Colin McKeown (one of my team members), shot a brilliant 36 points to finish just one point off the amateur winner. He played some exceptional golf in such hard conditions and deserves the voucher he won. Congratulations to Colin! The next PGA Alliance is at Ardglass on Monday, 21 December so fingers crossed the weather is kinder...
Pro Sweep
It's the same old story... The wet weather has closed the golf course for most of last weekend. We did get nine holes open on Friday, 4 December and the Pro Sweep did take place. First prize went to Sam Lemon with 21 points and Des McCausland picked up second place with 18 points on the better back six holes from Harry Beers. Des McCausland had the only two paying out £18 and all money has been added to your pro shop account. Congratulations to all the winners!
Ladies Stableford
The ladies played a 10 holes stableford competition on Tuesday with the winner being Patricia Jordan with 21 points. She pipped the ever consistent Alison Sinnamon into second place with 20 poins. Paula Ellis and Joan Sinclair picked up £10 each for their twos. Congratulations to all the winners, and all monies have been added to your pro shop accounts.
Men's Woolly Hat
This week's men's Woolly Hat was played over 13 holes. The winner with an impressive 34 points was Frank Kirk. Second place went to Don McKeeman on 28 points beating Des McCausland on the better back nine who took third place. Thanks to those who took part it was a tough blustery day.
